Union budget data for e-Courts Phase II (2016-17 to 2022-23)

The provision is for e-Court Mission Mode Project for ICT enabling of District/Subordinate Courts of the country to provide designated service to litigants, lawyer and the Judiciary. In order to improve the justice delivery system, the Government is implementing the eCourts project in a mission mode, since 2007. The Phase II of the project focuses not only on the computerisation of courts across the country but also on the automation of workflow management which would enable the courts to exercise greater control over the management of cases.

The provision is for erection of barbed wire fencing, construction of roads, construction of Observation Post Tower (O.P. Tower), installation of flood lighting, induction of Hi-tech Surveillance on Indo-Bangladesh and Indo-Pak borders, for various such construction activities at India's international borders with its neighbouring countries, for setting up of mobile check posts in coastal areas of the country for better surveillance to have a check on illegal activities. The provision also includes construction of Border Out Posts.
